Equipment

  • grill
  • tongs
  • prep bowls
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • instant read thermometer

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. chicken wings
  • ¼ C Olive oil +more as needed
  • Creole seasoning to taste
  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 2 C mayonnaise
  • 3 T horseradish
  • Dash of hot sauce
  • ¾ C distilled white vinegar
  • ½ C apple juice
  • 1 T black pepper
  • 1 lemon zested & juiced
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

For the Alabama White Sauce

  • Add the mayonnaise & next 9 ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir until combined. Season with salt &pepper as needed

For the Wings

  • Preheat grill to 375 degrees. Meanwhile, slather wings with olive oil and coat with seasoning and cornstarch until well covered.
  • Once the grill is preheated, place the wings on the grates and cook until the skin becomes crispy. Flip & repeat. Once this occurs and the internal temperature registers at least 165 degrees (I prefer 175 degrees for a crispier wing exterior), remove the wings from the grill.

To Finish

  • Add the wings to a large mixing bowl and top with prepared sauce. Toss until the wings are well-coated. Serve with your sides of choice and enjoy!
