Instructions

For the Spicy Blueberry BBQ Sauce:

For the Burgers:

  • Preheat a griddle or skillet to high heat. Once the cooking surface is hot, add the frozen patties and onions and cook until they start to bubble; then, flip them. Top with a piece of cheese and cook until melted. I like to double-stack mine, then remove them from the griddle. Ensure the onions cook until tender, then remove them.
  • Build your burger with sautéed onions, double stack, and prepared sauce. Top with any other desired toppings, serve & enjoy!

Notes

  • Sauce Versatility: The Spicy Blueberry BBQ Sauce pairs beautifully with burgers but also complements hot dogs, grilled chicken, and ribs.
  • Topping Suggestions: Try pickled jalapeños, crispy bacon, sautéed onions, or lettuce for added texture and flavor.
  • Storage Tip: Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
  • Smashburger Tip: Use high heat and a flat surface (griddle or cast iron) to achieve that golden, caramelized crust.
